Peer Tutoring

The Peer Tutoring Program (PTP) at Cedar College is a flexible, peer-mediated strategy that involves students serving as academic tutors and student learners. Typically, a higher performing student is paired with a small group of lower performing students to review critical academic concepts. Direct interaction between students promotes active learning whilst receiving more time for individualised learning.

The Peer Tutor (PT) assist their fellow peers with their courses while being paid a stipend for the help provided. For a student learner, this program will enable learning in a focused and healthy environment. A successful and efficient program requires commitment and dedication by both tutors and learners, and is not a requirement but a necessity.
