With a Masters in Journalism, Ms Fatima Khurshid joined her A Level alma mater, The Lyceum School in 2007 as an English General teacher. The reason for getting into the education sector went deeper than just being a professional choice. To date, she credits all the academic institutions that she attended for laying down the building blocks for the person she is today, and her teachers and mentors for being a positive influence and for helping her to enhance her strengths and teaching her important life skills. The aim was to give back in kind and to work with young adults as they navigate and find their way through life, and so from there began a journey of self-discovery and exploration that brought Ms Fatima to Cedar College.
Ms Fatima joined Cedar College in 2015 and quickly became an instrumental part of the team that helped set up Cedar College. As a member of the senior team, Head of Admissions and now Principal of Cedar College, DHA, Ms Fatima Khurshid has seen Cedar College grow from an A Level college of a few hundred students to an academic institution that boasts two A Level campuses, one in DHA and the other in PECHS, that house thousands of students.
Ms Fatima Khurshid does not subscribe to the one-size-fits-all approach in education and is proud of the diversity of thought, culture, and socio-economic background within Cedar’s large student body. She believes that it is her responsibility to ensure that her team treats every student as a unique individual who deserves to be seen and heard. As a senior administrator and Principal, she strives to ensure that every student is given the tools and opportunity to excel and achieve his/her personal and professional goals.
